Join the Pequot Lakes Business Connect and Brainerd Lakes Chamber in celebrating the beginning of the holiday season with Santa's Bobbin' Into Town, sponsored by Lonesome Cottage Furniture Company.

The festivities will begin Saturday, Nov. 28. Santa Claus will bob throughout town on a fire truck and then be available for photos.

Enjoy a horse drawn trolley ride while shopping. For the kids there will be games, a scavenger hunt and coloring contest in Trailside Park.

Schedule of events:

10:30 a.m. - Santa's bobbin' into Town on a fire truck, arriving at the Trailside Park gazebo at 10:45 a.m.

10 a.m. - 5 p.m. - Extended shopping hours and store discounts, new indoor crafters mall, exterior store decorating contest (vote for your favorite store), coloring contest.

11 a.m. - 2 p.m. - children's photos with Santa ($5) and storytelling at Silver Creek Traders, horse-drawn trolley rides by Benvelle Equestrian Center.

2 p.m. - 5 p.m. - bonfire, kids games, roasted chestnuts, hot chocolate and cookies (provided by Mayson's Grille) at the Trailside Park.

Santa's Bobbin' Into Town on Thursday evenings and Saturdays in December, too. Thursdays - Dec. 3, 10 and 17, 5 to 7 p.m. - extended shopping hours, store discounts and crafters mall; children's photos with Santa ($5) at Mayson's Grille (Dec. 3), Lakes Latte (Dec. 10), and Expressions Shoe Center (Dec. 17); coloring contest.

Saturdays, Dec. 5, 12, and 19 - 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. - Extended shopping hours, store discounts and crafters mall.

11 a.m. to 2 p.m. - children's and pet photos with Santa ($5) at Merritt Jewelers (Dec. 5), Lime Greenery (Dec. 12), and Brambleberry Farms (Dec. 19); coloring contest.
